walking

For Xmas my mum got me this book called Brain Rules by a guy named John Medina who is a neuroscientist. In it he talked about many things about the brain, specifically things that should help people thrive in their everyday situations. One of the things is exercise. Apparently exercise will increase your capacity for learning as well as reduce (by 60%!!) your odds of getting Alzheimers.

Well, count me in!

So I've been trying to get a little bit of exercise almost every day and have dragged Mike into the band wagon... On Monday he and I went to see the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus at the Scotiabank Theatre, then WALKED HOME. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes. Then Tuesday we didn't do much - just hung out and played WoW all day. So on Wednesday night when I got home from school, we walked to the Green Eggplant on Queen East between Woodbine and Main St. It took about an hour and a half.

Waaaaaaaaaalking. Today we probably wont get much exercise... but tomorrow? perhaps another adventure will ensue.
