~Love Never Wanted Me Chapter 1~
Naruto sat on the bench, his tears sparkling in the streetlight above him. It was a cloudy night, and the stars and moon were barely visible as dark clouds covered Konoha.His brain was running at 1,000 miles per minute, and there were so many questions he wanted answered. He wiped the tears from his cheeks and tried to calm down, but it was hopless. WHY?, he thought. Why the HELL didnt I listen to her??? At this point he doubled over, sobbing. Why did this have to happen? Did he not love me??
He couldnt stop the tears from falling. He thought about walking, but turned down the idea. He didnt want to move. What he did want to happen was for him to fall asleep and never wake up. He also wanted to beat the #### out of a certain jounin. He was about to lay down when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He jumped and turned quickly to find himself staring into the dark eyes of Sasuke. Anger boiled within Naruto as he stared at the man he was sure had always loved him. He wrenched his shoulder away and stood up. He glared at Sasuke before walking down the path into the darkness. Sasuke jumped in front of him, just as Naruto knew he would. He was always like that....he thought. Naruto sighed and stopped, looking at Sasuke with all the pain and hate he could muster. Thankfully his hate was far more powerfull than his sadness, for the blonde refused to give Sasuke the satisfaction of crying in front of him. As far as Naruto was concerned, the raven haired man was a cold hearted bastard, and he did'nt deserve Naruto. He did'nt deserve anyone.
"Naruto....." Sasuke embraced Naruto and closed his eyes. Naruto did not return the gesture. "Please." He whispered. "Please. Give me another chance." At this point Naruto closed his eyes, praying for the tears not to fall. He lifted Sasukes arms from around him, and looked him in the eyes. Then, he slowly turned and walked away.
~*~EARLIER~*~
It had been two weeks since Sasuke had returned from Orochimaru, and Naruto was finally with the one he loved. He had moved in with Sasuke and they where happy, except for the random phone calls from Sakura, begging Sasuke to go out with her. Naruto was proud to see that Sasuke refused. Today had been a great day. No interupting phone calls, and a nice quiet day in which they both slept in and spent the day together.
"Sasuke, what do you want for dinner?" Naruto yelled through the kitchen to the bedroom, were Sasuke was getting dressed. Silence. "SASUKE!!" The blonde yelled again.
"Yea dobe?" Sasuke walked into the room sporting baggy jeans and a navy shirt with the Uchiha fan on the back. Naruto rolled his eyes. "I said, What do you want for dinner?" Sasuke appeared to think hard for a whole 2 seconds.
"I dont know, what do you want?" Sasuke muttered, as he turned and walked out of the kitchen and sat on the couch. The blonde grinned mischeaviously at this statement and walked seductively towards said couch. He straddled Sasuke's waist and leaned in to nibble on Sasuke's ear.
"What I want, has nothing to do with dinner, Sa-su-ke" He whispered in Sasuke's ear. Sasuke's eyes widened and he smiled at the thought. He wrapped his arms around the blonde and stared into his eyes.
"Alright. I guess for dinner I want....Sweet and Sour chicken with fried rice." He gave Naruto a deep kiss, then gently pushed him off his lap. "Now go to the store, we dont have everything for that." Naruto pouted, but stood up from the floor anyway. He disapeared from the living room and returned shortly after, wearing his light blue jacket.
"Hey bastard you want to go with me?" Naruto asked. Sasuke shrugged and the blonde closed his eyes and shook his head. "Is that a yes or a no, moron."
"Uhhh thats a no. Have fun baka." Naruto smiled softly as he left the house they shared and walked to the store. It was a chilly night with a full moon and clouds forming over head. At least its not raining, he thought to himself.
He arrived at the supremarket and walked across the black parking lot lit with street lamps. The store was just about to close when he got in, so he made it quick and got his ingredients. Walking home was the same as walking there, except with groceries. But this time, Naruto ran into someone. Ten Ten. She was leaning up against a tree, and by the looks of it, she had been crying. Somethings wrong.....the blonde thought. Ten Ten hardly ever cries.
"Ten Ten?" She looked at him with red eyes. "Oh...its just you Naruto." She said in a voice that was barely audible. She rubbed her eyes and sighed. Apperently, someone seeing her in this state made her more upset.
"Ten Ten.....whats wrong? You can tell me anything." She looked up at him but didnt meet his eyes. She sighed again, and Naruto offered her a napkin. "Its Neji, He's been....I dont know....weird lately." She looked away from him.
"Weird? How?" Shes avoiding me...he noticed. Silence followed this question, until Ten Ten decided to suddenly look Naruto in the eye."Naruto. I dont understand how to put this. I've been with Neji for 2 years now, and I've never seen him like this. Recently he's been going out late, and not coming home till early in the morning. He tells me he's going out with friends, but I know better. He's cheating on me, and I know it. I just don't know how to solve this. Whenever I confront him about it, he gets in a bad mood and then ignores me the rest of the night. Its ruining the relationship." A single tear fell down her cheek, and she didnt bother to wipe it away.
"Well, who is he cheating with? I'll find the bastard and kick her ass!" Naruto hated people who cheated, and he put all his emotion into this statement and even caused a few birds to scatter from the tree over head. Ten Ten shook her head. "His ass, Naruto. His." At this, Naruto's eyes widened. "WHAT? You mean Nejis ####### some guy?? What the hell!! He's got a perfectly beautiful girl right in front of him, and he has to pull this? Where's Neji? Is he at home? Im gonna kill him! And who's this guy? Im gonna kill him too!" Ten Ten tried to smile, but it didnt work. "Thanks Naruto. But Neji's with his 'boyfriend' now."
"God damn it. Well who is it?" Ten Ten looked at everything but Naruto. "Thats..." She stopped. She didnt want to bring this upon anyone, let alone Naruto. Naruto gripped Ten Ten's shoulders lightly and looked at her. "Ten Ten. Look at me." She did. "I dont care who it is. You have to tell me. I'll take care of it, and I'll make sure neither of them ever touch another guy again." Ten Ten hesitated, but then hung her head in defeat, and more tears started to fall. " Sasuke." She whispered.
Naruto didnt believe what he heard. He smirked and let go of the grocerie bags. They fell to the pavement lightly and she looked up at him. "Im so sorry Naruto. I never meant for this to happen." He looked at her. "That....can't be possible." She took a step back, knowing what was coming. "Sasuke. He loves me. He would never....." Regardless of what he said, Naruto couldnt help question the truth of this statement in the back of his head. He picked up his groceries. "Im sorry Ten Ten. I've got to go." And with that he bolted down the path, towards home.
When Naruto arrived at his home, he knew that Ten Ten spoke the truth. The door was unlocked. That was the first thing he noticed. Sasuke always locks the door, Naruto thought. The second thing he noticed was that Sasuke wasn't anywhere in site, and their bedroom door was closed. Naruto tried not to jump to conclusions. He dropped the groceries and sprinted down the hall, not even bothering to remove his shoes. He swung open the bedroom door, and what he saw nearly made him faint.
Neji was wrapped in Sasukes arms, a light blush around his face and a thin, shiny layer of sweat covering both their bodys. Naruto didnt need to notice the stains on the bed and the clothes thrown quickly aside to know what had happened when he was out buying their dinner. Anger and Sadness were brought to the surface , and Naruto resisted the urge to kill both of them on the spot. Sasuke and Neji looked up as he threw open the door. "N-Naruto..." Sasuke stuttered. Neji just sat in a stunned pose, staring at the man who had rained on his parade.
A tear rolled down Naruto's cheek as he looked Sasuke in the face. "Naruto...I....its not what...." the Uchiha began. But Naruto cut him off, as anger contorted his face, and Sasuke actually looked scared. "Sasuke...you BASTARD!! I HATE YOU!!!" Naruto then turned and ran out of the house, crying. He hated him. He hated both of them. But he hated himself more, for ever believing that someone could ever love him.
