That's interesting. I'd guess that you're right about the connection. I'm the sort of person who doesn't like to throw anything away unless it's falling to bits, so I always find it confusing when people talk about starting afresh and so forth. There's nothing wrong with that sort of attitude, it's just very different from my own. But blank notebooks are always nice. ^^

Kiss wa Shonen O Roohi Suru was always one of my favourite Tokyo Babylon songs, and I like grapes, so, well, yay! And of course I'm really pleased you like my fanfics.

As for your question...it's difficult to say. I'm quite biased about my favourites of theirs, so it might be tricky to see the flaws, and in many ways it's the fandoms which spring up around their works that I like the best. They've got their moments of brilliance (in some cases lasting a whole series! *cough*Tokyo Babylon*cough*xxxHOliC) and generally what they do they do well, and with innovation, but I think that some of their series might be over-rated.

From what I've heard, Suki Dakara Suki isn't very good, so it seems that not everything they do turns to gold. And much as I like TRC, it could have been better. So I'd say that they're slightly over-rated. But one thing that I can definitely say in their favour is that they usually tend to give things a decent ending. I don't tend to think 'What? After all that you make the end pathetic?' the way that can happen with other manga artists.
