This is the first time I can vote in Australia, however I am in a dilemma. I don't like either of the 2 major political party's leaders, neither have announced any real policies (2 weeks to the election and I still don't know what the parties stand for).
It's also based on proportional representation (ct UK & US), which would be fine, except either I decide the order in which my vote(s) are cast or I give one party this right, should they not get in. While I agree with PR as a concept, I don't agree that I should have to put any voting preference against a party whose policies I completely oppose (e.g Family First or One Nation).
What to do?
