How to become a statistic....

Change Nationalities and/or become "probably infected with H1N1"

MMT has been sick since Friday. On Sat he was listless, hot, lethargic, snotty nosed, complaining of being cold (despite a temp of around 38.5C), so we took him to the Dr on Sunday, who diagnosed a double ear infection, a throat infection, but didn't think that MMT has H1N1 (aka Swine Flu, aka Influenza A) - we both breathed a sigh of relief.

Because Monday was the second day of closing out some substantial hedges pre sale of a large portion of the Company's assets and today is the settlement date (short of a last minute hiccup) tigerbeard stayed with MMT yesterday and today. Monday afternoon MMT's temp had risen to 40C so tigerbeard took him back to the Drs surgery who said that along with a couple of other symptoms he was a probably but not definite case of H1N1 and has prescribed Tamiflu for MMT (getting him to take that is a whole other story, poor love). tigerbeard and I have both our fingers crossed that neither of us come down with whatever MMT has. I am working from home tomorrow and Thursday and we'll see how he is then, before deciding what to do about Friday.

In other news, assuming that tigerbeard and I are well enough to attend, tomorrow night we all become Australians. We have organised a babysitter for MMT, since a) he is ill and b) the ceremony starts at 8pm and probably won't finish until 10pm at the latest.

The course is meh, I don't seem to have the time or inclination to study. Note to self: Get over this meh phase and move on....
