Need help on how to find a family to give them generations old photos?

This is a weird situation...prior to my Grandpa passing in 1995 he had remarried Liz a few years earlier. She was a family life-long friend who had buried two husbands, her first husband was an "H. Chittenden". While going through three homes of their lives I found two boxes of very old photos, most dated with names on the back and some diaries along with old legal papers of wills naming family members. I couldn't bring myself to throw it out, this is someones legacy, their lineage, entire family tree dating back to the late 1800's.

Liz never had children but had two neices who were in their late 50's. They had no interest in the photos or journals - they showed up for the first time after Grandpa passed wanting only to know how much money they would get from Liz's marriage to Mr. Chittenden from which the relation came.

I have carefully kept everything well preserved just in case. So far, every name I've tried to research has come up with little or no information but *someone* must be interested and appreciate the family history. I've tried a few sites Carla listed but couldn't find how to list or what to list that someone may be looking for.

So...where do you think are good places to post what I have? Should I try to find any information at the Courthouse in both King and Snohomish counties and go from there? I'm at a loss here and would like to release these two large boxes of family information to those that are wondering about the missing pieces, pictures, wills, and apparently 10 siblings (including spouses) of Mr. Chittenden. Any thoughts would be appreciated, even if it means a bit of time.
