Sometimes, through the trials of life...the stolen computers, wrong notes, tough assignments, student loans....we forget things. But then we get emails like this from people we have never met:
"OK Renee...all weekend long I was trying to rack my brain and figure out if your son went to Groton school? The reason I am asking is because a few years ago my mom and I attend a Christmas concert at the school..[Ariel's in band and chorus]...and there was a young man that was BEYOND!! talented on may different instruments. One song he did in particular was a solo in the center of the auditorium...I think he was playing an Oboe? At any rate...I remember Mr. Codner speaking very highly of this young musical genius! And...I remember his music being so beautiful and so soulful that he effected me...and my mother.
I actually cried as he played, and both myself and my mother said "God..this young man is going to go places someday, how PROUD his parents must be of him". Then after the concert was over...we fought our way through the crowd just to tell him how wonderful we thought he was...he was humble and shy and we could tell music was deeply embedded in his heart and in his beautiful soul! If this young man belongs to you...I am not at all surprised! He has a wonderful family and great influences...you are such a blessed woman!! Thank you for producing such a wonderful child...you are an angel with wings we can't see :-) Have a great day and enjoy him fully when you have him home this wed....I am sure that won't be hard!"
