Um, did it ever occur to you that people like certain characters you don't because they have different tastes then you and taste is entirely subjective? Seriously, it's pretty much the exact opposite of rocket science.
In happier news, Gran Torino is a fantastic movie. Note that I don't casually give that sort of rating out.
ETA: Are they doing the Haruhi dance in those Jack in the Box commercials?
