Tales of Symphonia: Knights of Ratatosk- a sort of hybrid between a spin-off and a true sequel to the original game- has been confirmed for a US release. It will apparently be renamed Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (my guess is to emphasize its link to ToS with the North American fanbase) and will be on the Wii. All of the original characters will be playable at certain points of the game, except for Kratos (who'll still be back as the narrator.) There's no release date, yet, but then, there's no definitive one for Japan yet, either (it'll be out sometime in the spring there) which is actually a good thing as Tales games usually get announced for the US months after they've already been out in Japan (if they get announced at all.) Hopefully the game will be stand alone enough to attract new players to the series as well as ToS fans and fans of the other games, especially since the Wii has almost no RPGs right now.

Viva Tales of!
