Thank You for your help!!!

Hey y'all -- thanks for answering the poll. I posted it after Justin objected to my idea of bringing fresh fruit and muffins to Ft. McHenry this am for a picnic brunch with his mom. He said "That's not substantial enough" and when I added boiled or deviled eggs he said 'that's not standard picnic fare." Fried chicken, sandwiches, chips, macaroni salad, potato salad, devilled eggs, and possibly fruit are on his approved list of standard picnic fare. Pretty much nothing else. Maybe potato chips. Anyway, I agreed that deviled eggs maybe didn't go well with the muffins and fruit, so I thought of making a quiche. Then I decided to just add a baguette and a few kinds of cheese because I just didn't want to bother with quiche. We had a lovely picnic and didn't eat half what we brought, and Justin has admitted that his picnic list is perhaps too narrow and that my idea was actually a good one. He was the one who suggested prepared food from Giant, after I told him no way was I going to make a bunch of sandwiches and salads for a casual picnic brunch. That just seemed bizarre to me -- I think of the prepared food counter as a sort of emergency dinner when you've got extra cash but no time or energy. Anyway, y'all helped me stick to my guns -- he'd almost succeeded in making me believe that everyone believed in the sandwiches and salads standard!
