She wasn't really suited for physical labor, nor did she exactly know how. Diva was a princess raised in solitude with a purely pampered lifestyle. Not once had she touched anything like a hammer, paint, or any other do-it-yourself tools. She had nearly emptied a hardware store, not having any idea what she needed and what she didn't, but it was all laid out in order on the floor of the ballroom. There were even sandwiches and drinks laid off to the side for anyone that might happen to join her. But she wasn't going to bother with necessarily using those tools yet. No, for now, Diva was sweeping the ballroom's dusty and dirty floor. The building was not in ruin, but it would require some work to make presentable for a party.
It was like Mem had said after all. It would take work on her part to do it. He had told her where to find this place, saying it would be perfect for such a party if she were willing to act as a charming hostess. Of course she was. Mem had tempted others with the hopes of their deepest desire granted, but for Diva, she was happy here. She did not want to leave, and she had found people that accepted and liked her, despite what she was. That was all she had wanted in her life. Which was why Mem had threatened her to death. He could send her back to it, just as he had brought her from it, and that was why she was willing to betray her newfound life and friends. She wanted to stay here. Diva was likely the only one, but as long as there were others here, she would stay.
