Prom and Denny's

Apr 21, 2005 11:57

I didn't actually update on Thursday, but I just discovered you can change the date. I also discovered, as you can tell, enriched text. Go Me. If any of you can help me, I was wondering how to change the background on our lj.

For Josh:
The Oxford English Dictionary defines soup as:

A liquid food prepared by boiling, usually consisting of an extract of meat with other ingredients and seasoning.

Merriam-Webster:

A liquid food especially with a meat, fish, or vegetable stock as a base and often containing pieces of solid food; an unfortunate predicament

Final Consensus: Cereal can be soup if you boil the milk and throw in some bacon. Mmmmmm. Bacon. Or, if you are having it hurled at your head. (Sorry, I couldn't find a more kid-like font; hope I didn’t disappoint you too much.)

So back to the real reason for this entry, I skipped out on class for a little while  to see Kenny and Elizabeth before her murder mystery formal. They both looked amazing. Elizabeth dress and hair were gorgeous and Kenny looked very debonair in his tux. After class, I headed to Denny's. Kenny and Elizabeth came after the formal, which I totally loved. Nothing beats a prom dress at the Waffle House, but if it is unavailable, Denny's would be my second choice.  Denny's was our regular meeting place my first semester of sophomore year, but it wasn't at all what I remembered it to be. The food was alright, but took way too long to decide what to get. And, I'm not really sure about the sausage gravy that Thomas got. That was some greasy junk. I also had to tell the waitress my preferred beverage, makes you really appreciate Heather. We should have a Waffle House Waitress Appreciations Day. I think it would be nice. Luckily I got water so it wasn't as big of a deal when I spilled it on myself. FYI, I was not the one to spill Josh's drink.  I wasn't really feeling the Denny's atmosphere. It didn't spark the camaraderie of the Casa de Wafles, sitting at a long table and all.
