Well, the good news is I definitely *don't* have leukemia. ::confetti::
However, they can't rule either way on the thrombocytosis (essential thrombocytosis, or ET). I tested negative for the genetic markers for it on my blood work. But only 50% of the sufferers of ET test positive.
The bone marrow biopsy was equally ambivalent. They can't say yes, positively. But they also can't rule it out.
I hate this.
But the doctor suggests I live as if I never got the diagnosis for either disease. We'll monitor them of course, but "healthy" enough to be getting on with. Feh.
I'm pleased with the exclusion of leukemia and yet disturbed that my body continues to defy modern medicine.
Oh and he liked my chart. He is going to have the staff scan it into my record. ::grin::
