Ok, so I did manage to make MOST of my christmas presents. I got Jim and Sandi's done for Christmas Eve Day. Sandi's mug strap managed to bust out the second time she opened it. ::head desk:: I was trying to do something beyond what it was designed, I guess I should have known. I actually made her two straps, the broken one was black with silver diamond conchos. The other one was faux wood grain (one of my favorite surface applications). For Jim I did a pirate version, with a crossed sword concho and a skull snap. His took FOREVER to stitch behind the concho. Here's my cell phone pix:

I also gave Jim a "Idiots Guide to Pirates" for his birthday on Dec 26. He came into work for the next couple days saying "avast" and "smarmy bilge rats" and the like.

For Dad I did a wave style belt in brown. I didn't get a pix of his but I can when I get my camera fixed. For Clarke I made a lanyard hook with his name on the back. When he's a high enough level, he's allowed to have keys to the house to carry. Not that he's allowed to be *anywhere* unsupervised, but it makes a great mental impact.

I had Alex's present done right away. His was easy. I did a keychain with the Willey's emblem for his 1963 truck. It might be a bit big for him to keep in his pocket, so I might do another one narrower one for him when I get a chance.

Angie's cell phone case turned out really well. It was a bear to stitch up. OMG was it a bear. Worse than Jim's concho. But it was perfect height, even allowing for her antannae. It's basically the same way I'll make my own, except horizontal instead of vertical. But she immediately took off her old cover and put the new one on her belt. That made me happy. I'm not sure how much she would like the vine thing with her initial but I wasn't up to doing a full celtic knot without a little more planning. Personally I LOVED the way the vining worked.

For Anne I did a flat piece with a Maya sky band. I had the tooling done, and showed it to her, unfinished. I gave her the option to make it either a bracelet or a bookmark. She opted for a bookmark. I still have to apply the finish. Most likely I'll do antique brown.

Mom's I still haven't started it, but not for lack of want. I thought I had an image of her old cat Jaz. I'm going to do an image of Jaz on a checkbook cover. I need to do a test piece first to see how it will work out before I use up the checkbook blank.
