I started tackling the office today. OMG, I loathe this part of unpacking. The office stuff is the greatest amount of crap which involves going through. Yuck. I needed to get the stuff away from the radiators anyhow, as the the landlord came by to bleed the lines.
Mom came over to "help" with the office.
We put the leather cabinet back together. I had put the cabinets facing the wall, so I wouldn't be tempted to pigeon hole shit. We put the doors and drawers back together. And I put the leather stuff and my regular tools away. We also spent about 15 minutes trying to find the shelves to a pine bookshelf I have. Only to find them RIGHT NEXT TO THE DOOR. ::sign::
Mom drove me a bit mad moving boxes around that I wasn't ready for. So I basically told her I really needed to go through stuff by myself.
That left some time to run off to Tarzeh for a while. I picked up a hook rail for the entry way. I also got some tie-backs for the curtains.
After Mom took off, I totally crashed. I fell asleep in the chair with the laptop on.
Best part of the day, I found a journal of my trip to Mexico in 1995. I didn't even remember doing a journal. I never write stuff down. After I ate dinner, I took a leisurely bath and read about my old trip. It had everything but the last day. I'll have to transcribe it and scan my pix from the trip.
I have been working on my notes from our camping trip to Montana this year. It's really sketchy (I generally write in sentence fragments). So it's going to take some work to get it cleaned up.
