So, with Ed. The adult care facility Ed moved into on Friday looks like it's going to work out well. He can stay until the end. They've already ordered all the equipment he might need (respirator, ex-large wheelchair). They already had a long bed for him, as the one there was too short for him. The doctor even gave him a prescription for smoke breaks. ::grin:: Nothing worse than dying from a brain tumor and needing a nic fix. Ed's cat is even welcome. He's even written into his action plan. In fact if he's comfortable, the staff would like to keep the cat as a house cat after Ed dies.

As far as Ed's health, the tumor has broached the brain blood barrier. He's not allowed to move around without assistance because of his balance issues. The doctors say, that eventually he'll just start sleeping more and one day he won't wake up.

Mom's going to be crushed saying goodbye tonight. ::sigh::

In Montana, grandma has been moved out of intensive care. She's got seven stitches in her head. But she's in complete dementia, so they've got her strapped down. The neurologist was going to visit today. But I haven't heard more yet. Lester, Mom's brother, is taking care of things. Their sister Pharoby is taking the train from NYC tonight.

I think Mom's going to have a very poor spring of '08.

ETA: Mom just called, her flight is postponed for at least two hours because of our evil fat, wet snowstorm (seriously, it's insane, got to be at seven inches by now). And grandma is scheduled to be moved back Cut Bank tomorrow.
