Dinner on the veranda
Dad did come over for dinner. I had started the charcoal just in case he did want to come over. When he called and said yes, I put out a lawn chair and lemonade for him.
While I chatted with Dad, I grilled the chops and cooked some Annie's Creamy Deluxe Rotini & White Cheddar (enough of that left over to have with brats tomorrow!), Set up the card table outside (washed some forks and knives). I apologized for no veg, but I doubt he was surprised. I believe he might have even snorted at me. Followed by a short comment about how I should be eating five servings of fruit and veg a day.
While we sat and talked after eating, the wildlife came out. The scrawny juvie short eared hare hopped within three feet of us. The black squirrel watched us from the tree near by. A myriad of french-fry birds fluttered about as well, before they startled the bunny away. It was a very pleasant evening.
Dad only stayed about an hour and a half. But we had a really nice time.
So now I'm either going to wash the dishes, or rip some more cds. Hmmm, which to do, which to do?
Neither! Bwahah, I ended up talking on the phone with Mom and Angie instead.
