Sunday. What a wonderful day.
Wheee. It's my day off and 60F outside. Bwahaha. Spring might actually take hold this time.
To celebrate, I bought my little weber grill, spent $100 in groceries and generally was bad (cupcakes!).
I took a look at Dad's old laptop. I think he's right and the HD is dead. Or at least having issues. I got the install disks and such from him last night, so I can make another attempt tomorrow.
Last night the folks and I went to go see The Secret Garden, performed by a troop at Dad's work. There are at least two people who have to have been at least semi-pro. They were awesome. However, as was the case last year with "Into the Woods", you could bearly hear the cast at times for the orchestra. They either need to mic the stage better, or put the orchestra someplace else and mic them. I've never seen Secret Garden as a musical. Weirdness.
After I got home last night, I bowed to pressure and downloaded the beta of LOTR:Online game. I got everything loaded, launched the application, got the data updated, and went to select a server. Apparently my graphics card doesn't have the right "texture compression" package. ::grin:: Did I mention it took over four hours to download? I wouldn't have paid the monthly fees anyhow. I was severely tempted. Both Jim and Sandi are playing it now. It sounded more up my alley than WOW or DDO.
I guess I could get a new graphic card. Perhaps a new sound card, too, as my motherboard one does act up from time to time. I'll see what Alex thinks. My computer doesn't like to reboot. I told Alex about it, he thinks there might be something wonky with the bios. Said he'd look at it. But I don't want to dump all my issues on him at once. ::grin:: Dontcha think it's nice the way I look out for my personal computer gurus?
The cat is currently watching the neighbors grill at the apartment patio next door. I opened the porch for her, as she was mewing at me as I was putting my grill together.
Not much else going on. Hope spring is arriving for most of ya. I'm going to run to get a grill brush and spatula. Then I have to decide: steak, burgers or hotdogs? I was thinking I'd see if Anne wanted to come over tomorrow night and have steaks. Doesn't mean I can't have it two days in a row though. ::grin:: I bought a four pack. Bwahahah.
Oh and Qill13? You get my package yet? I sent you summat a week ago. Hope the PO didn't spork up.
