RIP Devil May Cry, My Eulogy.

When I saw the trailer, I can feel my world shattering into a million pieces.

I refused to believe it at first.
But then when my trusted source proved it:

...I already know it's inevitable. The real truth.

Like everywhere else in the world, we the die-hard fans are feeling the bite.
Already, I can feel depression setting in into my own soul.
We just don't understand why such a great series created by Hideki Kamiya has to meet this kind of ending, in the form of a remaking, but it's the most-fucked-up-remaking-ever-in-gaming-history.

I can feel the pain. I really do.

SO right now, as much as I wanna grieve for my most favorite fandom (along with the other one which died last week), I will only allow myself to mourn for 5 minutes, and then it's time to move on, not because I've got homework coming in, but because it's the continuity of the passion I once felt for my fandoms, that I shall continue to live for them.

It's hard, letting go. While typing this, I'm already crying. I really am, because the anguish is really too great.
Because I had felt that, it's the one fandom that hasn't failed me UNTIL TODAY.
The one fandom that I've hung onto long after the rest has bite the dust.
And the one fandom that I truly truly truly understood till its end.

But I guess, when the time's come, it's time to go. Only that, this ain't the graceful exit it wanted, I know, deep down. I wouldn't want it too. But there's no other way now.

So...R.I.P. DMC. You will be sorely, terribly missed.

Thanks for the memories and the great times, and thanks for making my world the way it is today.

Thanks for showing me that there's more to demon-slaying and more to the other side of you.

Thanks for giving me the confidence I needed, and be the outlet when I needed to unwind.

Thanks for showing me the way in real life and in dreams, and for being the source of inspiration for us artists, and even more so for us die-hard fans.

Thanks for being such a great fandom, that I truly enjoyed it right till your untimely demise.

And may Ninja Theory and Capcom, those fucking bastards in administration, may you fucking burn in hell for all eternity for ruining my one true love in life.

Goodbye DMC, I'll keep all your memories with me, every piece of it.

I've shed my tears for you, and so, it's time to stop, and move on.
I'll be okay, because it's for you that I lived for - and I shall continue to do so.

For Sparda, and for DMC, and for Hideki Kamiya, long live the series.
-L
