I've tried searching for Alice in Wonderland - Burton's versions far outshone everyone else's, but unfortunately, Jackee will have my head if I use Alice and co. because most of the important characters e.g. my favorite Maaaaaaad Hatter (Johnny Depp!) and the White Rabbit and even the Red Queen are all CG-fied/unreal characters =w

If you're still trying to make kuroshitsuji fanart homework, a better bet might be to search for "kuroshitsuji musical", since that would include official pictures of the official production (using real humans of course, since it's a musical XD ), and it'd be pretty decent professional photos. I think someone posted a large-ish flyer on the kuroshitsuji community before, I can go dig it back up if you want.

Poor Kamijo ^^; He'd be so miffed about that. I'm looking forward to seeing the coloured and pen version too, are you going to upload it to DA? You could always upload the pen version to scraps if you feel like weird uploading the same artwork twice (er, assuming you took photos of it.... ^^; )

Oh the pic, since Hizaki is behind Kamijo, there's really no size comparison. Also, with that dress, it's hard to tell if he's got boobs or not XD; Add the hair and makeup and it's pretty convincing. Ah well, the convo wasn't very long anyway, it was just a couple of people simulteneously going, "Pretty girl" "No, that's a guy" "Srsly?" "Yup they're all guys" "o i c" XD;

btw... do your classmates know it's an all-boy band? XD;

Oh yes I would love to have the link to the Kuroshitsuji flyer if you can get it :D 'Coz now Jackee's given the final assignment @ colour pencil montage in A3, min. 3 elements XD;;; Same rules of no-CG-charas-allowed are still applied (to me, only! =w=;;) but human-cosplay allowed (yay!), so it'll mean
I can't do Alice in Wonderland ('tis a pity!)
but I can do Kuroshitsuji (musical version)! :D

Heheh...when I told them they're all guys, 4 outta 5 went, "WHAT?? SRSLY?!?" and even Jackee went, "HAH!?" XD;
Naturally, some commented that Hizaki looks VERY pretty for a guy ^^; and that they can't tell that Hizaki was a he until I told them LOOL XD;

Those seemed like the only refs with high enough resolution for you to use. I figure you could use them for the main focus and then fill in with smaller images from the official website and google's imagesearch.

btw Hizaki's pretty average guy-looking (and only a little bit extra horizontally statemental (invented word ftw! XD )), I have a feeling that poster was shopped to death (the background was a giveaway XD ). But I love him/them anyways.

The high-res are really good, though I'll have to do something about the dark background (prolly adjust the curves and give them some light a bit to see the important details!). Jackee said something about compiling the refs for show in class, but I think I'm gonna take one step further and try do the compo via PS first. Whaddaya think? (I think I would want feedback to adjust/edit the compo - before Jackee unleashes her powerful one-hit-kill crit =w=;;;)

It's become a habit for me to compile refs in photoshop, actually. Sometimes I even print them out from photoshop and use that for tracing(You'll lose a lot of details with the tracing anyways). Make sure to print the high res version for painting refs though, otherwise you'll end up cursing a lot at the missing details ^^;

Ho ho ho the part about Hizaki just made my day. I'm gonna be smiling in my sleep tonite XD;

I saw that, but for some reason only half the images would load, and only the top half. I'm guessing there's more than 5 pictures on that entry?

I'll come back and comment on it when I can get the page to load.

Have emailed the pix to your gmx.net email (as Word doc - initially my LJ entry with pix in it for backup in case my crappy connection decides to up and die while I'm halfway typing ^^; )
