tOWA >> The Assassin's Files
Because I wanna celebrate having defeated Tay for this week (YESSSS! WOOOHOO!! *pumps fist into the air*) and having progressed in Visual Fundamentals (BT commented my simplified portraits look good, even though it's my first official attempt at doing it~~~~)
-I took the time to sit down and start a 2-year-long mission, to see my art progress, and to see how far I've come at the end of it - it's a sort of chronicle for me, and hopefully by the time I graduated by 2012 (provided the world as we know it hasn't end yet!), I can be proud of how much I've learnt and done :D
It's a noble quest alright, and part of the fun is yours truly picturing the comings and goings at TOA - through the eyes of my infallible alter ego Mysso XD;;; To protect my skin AND to conceal the identity of the intended person (!!!), I'll use whatever characters (from anime/game/manga/etc.) that suit them to represent them >D
(and it'll definitely be fun to get people guessing JUST who am I talking about when a given character that represents them appeared XD;;;)
So...[tOWA >> The Assassin's Files], is now officially online XD
I get to practise my skills, and I get the thrill to poke fun at everyday life/people XD
I'll picture them in single-shots first, and hopefully be able to do it comic-style when I finally earned the respective skill(s) (oooooh, already it sounds like those RPG games where you hafta level up to get new skills orz XD;;;)
And to start it off - something happened in Tay's class today.
Before class officially started, Tay got the class rep to hand out...
...a new timetable.
I was like, Whaaaaaaaat, in Week 2 you give us a new timetable, when everything has been proceeding smoothly??? And I was kinda hoping they don't give a Saturday class BUT
We discovered to our horror that we have 2 extra new classes.
And said 2 extra new classes is a special Typo Workshop 1 and 2.
And the first class starts next Wednesday.
(the other one starts only in March)
And that first class took up our lunch hour @ 12:30pm to 2:30pm.
Which threw Jackee's class an hour later @ the new time has become 3:30pm until the ungodly hour of 7:30pm, the high-time traffic jam peak hour in all the highways connecting KL and Subang. Specifically, Bangsar and Sunway.
And who is the culprit responsible for this mess?
An entity who called himself Gabriel.
Said entity called Gabriel not only
1) ate our lunch time
2) gave us an hour break to eat before taking Jackee's class
3) made us stay back till 7:30pm because he took up the time till 2:30pm, Jackee's original start-time
4) ate our lunch time. OOoooohh, I can't stand it when someone takes away my lunch hour (when I got so hard to change it to that time since I can't eat during class-time @ 4pm-5pm), and this
This calls for poking around for information >]

MY said that the only Gabriel she know is of the AD dimension, who is a 'mat salleh' / 'kwai loh' (white ghost) with a decidedly French accent.
I can only imagine a white angel in a suit (but by no means angelic in any manner), and well, any (un)angelic entity who takes away my lunch hour deserves a good spanking, to quote Bayonetta >D
------About the artwork------
The work above was drawn + rendered in the span of 5 hours XD;;; And drawn with references of Ash @ that diabolical (un)angelic angel in the Kuroshitsuji anime who set the entire London on fire JUST because he wants to save the poor souls (misguided fallen angel, much?)
I pictured Gabriel as Ash, not only because of the name (in reference to the Archangel Gabriel), and also not just because said kwai loh (white ghost) is well, white, but also that that dude with a decidedly French accent brings to mine a chevalier (translated as knight in French) - so all this culminates in me choosing Ash to represent Gabriel XD;;;
To complement the Kuroshitsuji origin, I pictured Mysso pulling on her gloves ala Sebastian Michaelis when he starts to get serious in battles - and in this case, it's an attempt at re-enacting the final boss fight between Sebastian and Ash - demon vs. angel.
In this case, it's the demonic butler One-Winged Angel (Devil) versus Ash Gabriel, because I don't know my supposed opponent yet, and I want to see, really SEE, just what this guy who called himself Gabriel is capable of.
I think of it as a challenge - since he had, somewhat, sort of, challenged our authority, of
making Jackee send out that strange email with an ending message that implied that she didn't want to change the timetable but had no choice and she REALLY hope that the class can cooperate with her and she absolutely appreciate our understanding.
I don't like to see my friends getting intimidated for nothing, to be honest.
Come next Wodensday, I'll get to see this entity called Gabriel in the flesh.
And if I get hungry during his session, why I might just bite his head off >]
The exciting part would be if the living Gabriel fits my description and chosen chara-rep of him >DDD

>> IlloFun -- Gambit killed half my 2B pencils, but I liked drawing him, because Jackee gave me lots of positive input on how to improve my strokes and therefore, get a more-realistic portrait :D Jackee = Awesomeness! But I have 1 more half-figure to go, and to look for references for next week's class =w=;;;
>> TypoFun -- I-Ching likes my take on [Clocks]. I should listen to Coldplay more often XD
>> CGPPP -- Tay showed us the basics to creating crop marks, using clipping paths, and changing documents into grayscale. And plonk us our first assignment, officially =w=;;; (weeeeee good luck to me orz)
>> VisualFun -- BT bored half of us to death in the beginning and only finally picked up the pace when he showed us Kin Sun's / other people's storyboard works. And gave us the simplified-portrait assignment :D (which I am proud of, for first attempt! My first attempt for rendered portraits sucked...) LW is reaaaaally keen on motivating us, that whatever advice he dispensed, he always did it with a BIG smile on his face *^______^* He's nicer than BT, I wished he was the lecturer instead...
That said, this entry's a wrap. It's 3:22am, and I can hear my alter ego needling me in the background =w=;;;
