Clocking at 30 selected photos, it has the full chronology of what took place for this year's Chingay, and even a 'lil dragon story to boot (because I can't resist what the photo said to me XD;), this event is a multi-racial cultural occasion that totally earns the marks for 1Malaysia, if you ask me.
(and it's the very topic that nailed Va Nee's Culture class last time. Yee ha! XD;;)
Though I've a few things to note:
1) this year saw a HUGE upsurge of people attending this, due to
2) the insane amount of people blocking the main road of the procession throughout that 1.5 hour event, and that
3) those people don't understand English / Hokkien / Mandrin / Cantonese / whatever other Chinese dialect there are, of the words "MOVE ASIDE" as called out by the Rela members trying to do crowd control =w=;;;
4) and a few "mountains" kinda loved to block my view JUST as I was about to take a shot. I should learn from one of the old ladies there to bring a plastic stool - the old lady used it to sit and watch the parade, but I'll prefer to take the stool and stand on it to snap away with ease above those towering people.
But I can't blame them - because after all, humans are not born to just listen to orders.
