How 'bout a lil' lesson in grammar, peoples?

So thanks to the overwhelming response from my rabid fans (ok one of the four), I am suckered into updating this. However due to your impatience, the artistry of this page may be compromised. You can't rush art. I know when it's time to update: when the hairs in my nose start to twitch spastically.

Speaking of overwhelmed, according to either Jerry Seinfeld or Steven Wright or John Paul II, "if someone can be overwhelmed, is it possible to be 'whelmed'?"

I would like to propose that it is possible. Dictionary.com ( http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=whelm ) defines whelming as "To cover with water; submerge. To overwhelm." So clearly it could be applied to sports, if one takes a liberal interpretation of this definition. For example, "Coach Lombardi was WHELMED by large quantities of Gaterade after Green Bay destroyed the Minnesota Vikings 49-3". This is a very underused verb indeed. Let's see how much fun it is when used in place of more accepted verbs in recent headlines:

"Court Says Pope Whelmer must Return to Jail" (ok so I'm obsessed with the papastry)
"Hillary Has it Wrong, Bush Not the Most 'Whelmed'"
"Elated Scientists Say Space-Dust Mission Whelmed Expectations"
"It's Whelming Livin' La Vida Lohan"

Yeah so you asked for it, quantity not quality. If you think this blog was pointless, press 1. If you'd like to call your lawyer and sue for damages, press 2. If you'd rather watch Gilmore Girls, keep it to yourself.

Well I must prepare for the party tonight at casa de Iamaio. I'm going to whelm the homies at Dance Dance Revolution like there's no tomorrow.
