i was going to post about this poll... but richmackin is quite a bit more articulate than i am. anyway, it's seriously like three seconds of your time. so go!
Certain forces in America are concerned about thesex lives of others. Heck, some people are even threatened by two people celebrating being in love by getting married! Don't gay people know that marriage isn't between two men or two women, but between a man, a woman, and the Fox game show that brings them together....with a surprise ending? Anyway, there is some "Pro-family" group (don't get me started on that term) that sponsored a pentition to try and show that Americans are against Gay Marriage. Right now the majority of anti-gay people is winning by .35%. Not 35% like almost a third, POINT 35 percent, like only a small amount. That's not factoring the 7.44% who favor civil unions- all the benefits but another term than marriage.
So, if you want to tell Congress, or at least a poll, how you feel about two people wanting to have the government do paperwork about them being in love- even if it doesn't involve eliminating other contestants and winning prizes. check out http://www.afa.net/petitions/marriagepoll.asp
