aurora aurocka posted the query "What has been your current album obsession? What do you do while you listen to that album?" in her journal... this was my response:
no albums on major rotations right now...
but i do have a few songs that i've been listening to obsessively over the past couple of days
"look up" - stars
"what if i never" - paddington
"california" -copeland
"coffee" - copeland
usually i'm just sitting here listening to them. they'll come on and i'll just stop, close my eyes, and let the song move me. most the time i'll set the song to play over at least once before it goes on to the next song. i also burned a cd tonight with those and two other paddington tunes so i could go for a long walk without having to leave these songs at home...
they're all really super dreamy songs. quiet, beautiful... the kind you want to listen to while curled up on the couch with tons of blankets, a mug of hot tea warming your hands, watching the grey day from behind a window.
