Nicky was a beautiful boy with slightly-off teeth and the sweetest blue eyes God had ever granted; now he's a beautiful man with a money-bought mouth that leers unattractively and Shane himself has partaken in removing the innocence from those eyes. Kian - vanity personified since Shane can't even remember when - woke up one day earlier that year with a handful of hairs on his pillow and hasn't had it cut since.

I went from "aww" to "OMFG! HAHAHAHA KIAN!!!!!" at this point of time.

Nicky who spends half an hour staring at pictures of Shane with Gillian and Nicole and never quite turns far enough to Shane staring at *him*;

Everyone together now, AWWWW.

Seriously. I should stop reading such fics at such ungodly hours. And have I add that I loooove it! You totally nailed the whole Westlife scene now. Everyone can see how Shane and Nicky are dealing with their whole "break-up".

I have discovered that I only like pre-new-teeth Nicky. I mean, I'm still all about the Shnicky, but Nicky and his new mouth just bug the CRAP out of me - he's not cute anymore, he just looks like a pretentious, cocky ASS. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his teeth - a couple were a weeny bit crooked, or something, but they were *cute* and *clean* and they looked natural. Now it's as though someone gave him a horse-jew transplant and put bleach in his daily mouthwash. UGH.

LMFAO. HORSE-JEW!!! I didn't know horses have religions. *giggles*

NICKY IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!! He looked totally cute with the braces but I prefer him before he had the braces. His teeth wasn't like super crooked or anything. It was slightly off, not perfectly straight, but it was just.. normal I guess. And it was CUTE! With his lopsided grin and stuffs. *melts* He still look good now though. But blah, I prefer him with his crooked teeth and all.

*mutters*

What does Shane prefer anyway? *lightbulb flashes* idea for new shnicky fic anyone? HEH!

I don't know what happened. I started to reply to your comment, and this came out:

Shane prefers the old teeth. It'd take something a hell of a lot bigger than this to discourage him from Nicky - hell, he's not sure anything could, short of Nicky growing breasts or worse, Kian's haircut - but the new teeth...well, they freak him out.

He misses the days when he could look over at Nicky and despite his intimate knowledge otherwise, believe that Nicky was still a 19-year-old virgin. The Teeth (as they shall henceforth be referred) have changed that - the Nicky Shane sees now has been around, knows his women, knows his men, and has been to bed with every single one of them. The Teeth make Nicky strut. Shane's never had the best memory to begin with (heavy drinking since the age of 12 will do that to a guy) but he's positive the strutting is post-Teeth.

In Shane's mind, the Teeth are the root of every one of Nicky's irritating habits (even ones that Shane knows he had before the Teeth, but so deep runs his hatred for them that whenever ( ... )
