Hell yeah tax refunds..
All I can say is I'm getting much closer to paying off that thing in the garage called my car... My goal is to have it paid off 1 year early, which would be June, but actual estimates are putting the payoff sometime in March. WAAHOOOO.
For those of you that don't know the story behind the Corolla... I was out getting Jordan a final present for our anniversary back in June of '02. That would have been anniversary #3 for those keeping score at home. Anyway, I'm out driving on Rand Rd in the Palatine/Arlington Heights area when my old Sentra was involved in a 4 car accident. Lucky for me and my compact sedan, I was right in the thick of things and the car ended up getting totalled. I got to go to the hospital for some whiplash. All the while, I couldn't get ahold of anybody to pick me up from the hospital. Since it was a weekend, Jordan was working. He was the only manager on duty, so he did what he could. He sent one of his underlings to the hospital to pick me up, get me my drugs at the pharmacy and drive me home!!! The poor kid shows up at the hospital and is like "I'm here to pick up Tania".. of course he doesn't know my last name. Good times.
So, needless to say I have some fond memories of that year. The Corolla was about as much of a car as I could afford at the time. This time around though, I plan to actually save up some sort of a respectable down payment and get a vehicle that I actually want. At this time that is a toss up between the 2006 Toyota Rav 4 (which is bigger and beefier than Finn's! :P) or a 2006 Nissan Altima, just to stick it to Jordan. However, I'm sure by the time I save up for a downpayment, I'll have changed my mind about 20 times.
Ok, well I ought to get some sleep. Otherwise tomorrow I'll be all nutso (aka - cranky).
Oh, my new pic on here was taken with Jordan's latest toy, our new digital camera. Not the one I wanted, but he is like a kid in a candy store with it.
