Summary: A mixed-up set of steps.
Why: I love the relationship between River and Simon in this story. There are just so many lovely moments in this story. In particular, I really like the scenes that have a younger Simon and River because natalexx does a really wonderful job at portraying the two of them. Also, the relationships between Kaylee and Simon and between River and Mal really seem to just flow naturally within the story without being a big hassle. So they really worked well for me, even though I'm rather indifferent to the two pairings, the Mal/River in particular.
