Kitties and Pitties and Poodles galore!
1. What is your favorite type of animal that you have had as a pet?: I definitely prefer dogs. They are friendlier and cuddlier and don't try to escape.
2. What is the strangest/most different name one of your pets has had?: We've been known to get creative with our naming, but nothing that strays too far from what really "goes" with that animal. Helix is probably by far the weirdest name for a dog, or any animal for that matter.
3. Describe something bizarre that one of your pets has done: Pokins goes crazy if you take his life support away (his wheel). He'll start climbing his cage and digging and all sorts of noisy things. He's like a freaking addict who's lost his drugs.
4. Have you ever eaten dog biscuits? Yes, when I was younger, in the old house. They weren't too bad. Tasted like stale crackers.
5. Have you ever let your pet sleep with you?: If I'm too tired to make them move, I will. But usually they don't make a habit of trying to sleep in the same bed. Or they'll leave in the middle of the night.
6. Do you take your pet on vacation with you?: We've taken Bingo and Nibs on trips to the mountains. Cats don't make good car companions. We've also had to take Helix to Wisconsin because he was still an active Guide Dog in Training. I doubt Nate and I will take our small rodents on trips.. if we ever go on trips that is.
7. Have you held memorials for your pets?: We've burried animals, even made headstones, but I don't think we've ever had an actual memorial service.
8. Have any of your pets worn clothing?: We dressed Bingo up as a super hero for some BBQ thing. I remember putting a baby bonnet on Nibs when she was pregnant with kittens. And Helix has had to undergo many humiliating makeovers.
9. Do you feed your pets before you feed yourself?: Yes, with the dogs. They're just too damn annoying when they're hungry.
10. Does your current pet resemble you physically or temperamentally?: Pokins is like me because he also likes to sleep a lot. Helix is like me because he also thinks Nate plays too rough. Zola is like me because she is also the cutest thing in the world. Nibs is like me because her poop also smells reeeally bad. Tab is like me because she also wants to see all the birds dead. Bingo has the same hair color as me. And the only way Royal and I are alike is she hangs out in a castle and I want to get married in a castle.
