I MET TROY AND ABED (also an original drabble)

Haven't posted in a while; lots of things going on!

I pretty much spent all of July in Southern California. First I drove down with family to take the train out of LA to the Grand Canyon and back, followed by a few days at the Disneyland Resort. It was a super fun trip, even though most of my time on the train/in Arizona was spent in zombie-form. MAJOR LACK OF SLEEP.

I came home for a few days and then headed back down with my mom and my friend Alex for COMIC CON! It was a pretty good time; I think I'll have more fun next year, now that I've tested the waters of a massive convention; I mean, I've done D23 which was HUGE, but there's huge and then there's Comic Con huge. I had brought my RED Medic costume, but alas cosplaying was not meant to be. Kind of a bummer, seeing other cosplayers there kind of jazzed me up for it. Oh well. Next year!

I did go to some awesome panels though. I spend a good portion of Friday there in H Hall where I waited for The Green Hornet panel to begin (just so I could see Christoph Waltz, unffffffff). Anyways, my mom and I had pretty good seats because we went in there in the morning and just sat down, slowly moving closer to the front of the room. We sat through hours of panels that we thought we wouldn't care about but we actually saw really awesome people like Donald Faison (best known as Turk from Scrubs), Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler (I was in the same room as an actor from LORD OF THE EFFING RINGS), Nathan Fillion, Guillermo del Toro, Paul Bettany (yum), Karl Urban (UNF ANOTHER LOTR ACTOR AND ALSO BONES HEE ILOVETHATMAN), Stephen Moyer (Bill of True Blood), Will Ferrel, and Mark Wahlberg. And THEN The Green Hornet actors came out which means Seth Rogen and also CHRISTOPH WALTZ FFFFFFFFFF. <3333 So happy, man. I breathed the same air he breathed.

Anyways, I thought that would sustain me for the rest of my life until later that night. My mom and I had been booted out of the convention center around seven since it was closing, but neither of us were ready to end the Comic Con experience. So we decided to scour around the neighboring hotels for celebrities. First we headed to the Marriot since that was the official Comic Con guest hotel. We actually did see celebrities but none of which we really knew well; a few actors from V were standing outside the hotel talking with guests but we've never watched it so WHATEVER. (Though I did do some ninja photographing for my dad who does watch the show.)

We walked around the lobby of the Marriot for a while, looking at this and that, seeing some more fun cosplays but no more celebrites. We still craved moar though, so we started heading back past the convention center towards the Hilton on the other side of it. And on the way there, I spotted a tall, thin man walking next to a shorter black dude and I realized......

HOLY SHIT IT'S ABED AND TROY FROM COMMUNITY OMGOMGOMGOMG. THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND EITHER. So I kinda jumped crazily in front of them and was all "UHHHHHHHHHH HI GUYS. I LOVE YOU TWO CAN I... CAN I HAVE LIKE A PICTURE OR SOMETHING WITH YOU??" And they were super cool. 8D They were both totally awesome, but Danny Pudi was especially great. He was super enthusiastic about having a fan and genuinely interested in me; he even asked where my mom and I were from. But yeah, I realized that the digital camera was dead, so I whipped out my Flip camera and got them on FILM. WITH ME. LIKE I WAS IN A MOVING PICTURE WITH ABED AND TROY.

VID OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN:

And yeah. So that experience made my entire life. I was literally sandviched between the greatest bromance since Turk and JD. :')

Oh and if anyone cares, I wrote a little drabble on my character Kaz. I asked Andy what to write about and Kaz was his request. I hardly know anything about this character of mine; he's hardly fleshed out yet, but I decided to give it a go anyways. Nothing special:

Kaz had never understood why his friends had this power that he did not. Well, he did know why they had it and it wasn't like he was jealous of it-- it was a power that frightened and confused him-- but he did often wonder. He wondered why he was spared; why had that demon chosen not to bite him that fateful night?

He stood in the grassy field, illuminated by the light of the full moon, in his wolf form. His nose twitched as he sniffed the night air, inhaling the smells around him: the dirt beneath his paws, the dew collecting on the grass blades, and a strong familiar-but-not-familiar scent...

Kaz whipped around to see Violet and Duke, but their appearances had greatly changed. Violet's willowy form had changed into a much larger and muscular one. Her eyes, usually so kind, were now glowing blinding white and filled with a malice that her normal self could never show. Duke's body had grown as well, and his eyes were now pitch black-- they looked like a dark abyss that could suck you in and never let you out.

Kaz felt his hackles rise in horror until the more rational part of his mind calmed them back down. These two were his pack mates and as long as he was in his wolf form, he was safe around them; they would never harm him. If they had found him in his human form... Well, that was another matter entirely.

Still he felt so small and insignificant next to their humongous forms. One bite from those huge jaws would easily snap his neck in two. Duke approached him, dark eyes flickering with some distant knowledge; deep down he knew who Kaz was. Violet's eyes relaxed and held that same knowing look as she gazed upon the small wolf. Kaz relaxed-- he knew that they would recognize him even in their warped state, but it was always a relief when he saw for himself that they still knew him.

The two werewolves moved past him, heading for the dark woods, sheltered from the bright light of the moon. Violet turned to look at Kaz, beckoning him to follow them. He hurried after his companions, knowing that he'd have to be on guard for intelligent creatures so that no harm would come to them. Fortunately enough, the night was spent hunting rabbits.
