I haven't had too much to report on recently-- there's always crap happening but nothing that really stuck out to me... until yesterday.
So yesterday I had my dumb-as-hell "Fitness" Walking class, and we went off campus for the second time. The first time we went off campus to walk was last Thursday; we took a walk through the neighborhood near campus. Alastair and I just hung back and chatted/listened to our own music.
(Interrupting short rant: Alastair is starting to get on my nerves a bit. It seems all he does now is quote the internet/our many shared fandoms. Don't get me wrong-- I love that he loves the same things I do, and I usually don't mind the chatter, but sometimes... I just want to walk in silence and listen to my iPod. I don't need to hear GLaDOS quotes, etc. all the damn time.)
Anyways! So we get back from our stroll (this is still last Thursday's class) and the coach is waiting for us with an incredible "Son, I am disappoint" face on. He stops us and tells us, "You are too young and too fit to be all the way in the back." I just shrug at him, like "Really? Does this really matter?" and he's all "Don't you shrug at me!"
FFFFFF... Did he think I can't WALK? Sorry I'm not walking at a brisk pace. I just wanted to have a nice walk in the neighborhood.
Apparently this is serious business to him, so yesterday I decided to "prove" myself and keep up with the pace. I was pretty much right up at the front the whole time. Afterward, he came up to me and was all sunshine and rainbows: "Good job!! You did really well today! :D"
afjiawopgjnadiobjhagiogjafio Yeah. I got congratulated for walking. FOR. WALKING. >:|
This. This is what my life has come to.
