I decided I was able to be in a good mood today. And I ended up being happy.
FST-- It was hot in the classroom, but Mrs. Konwinski switched the places of the fans every few minutes so it wasn't so bad after a while. To the two others in our rows, we told 60 second autobiographies. I sit next to Kimi and Kelly. From afar, I've had contempt for them. I don't remember why. But though I fear they'll talk over me since I sit between them, I'm going to give them a second chance. They seem nice up close. We then made circle graphs representing colors of M&Ms and then we ate the M&Ms. Then notes on plots.
Drawing/Painting-- This was probably the worst class of the day. I don't have any friends in it and about 4 or 5 distant acquaintances. It was boring and we mostly just looked at slides. Then Miss Dorney showed us her 7-day sketch diary. We began making them but only had enough time to cut out 2 cardboard squares with Exacto knives. For some reason I had difficulty doing this.
Spanish-- We found out Sra. Dubeck is pregnant with twins. That makes 3 pregnant teachers I have. Wow. She explained to us how embarassing it would be to say "Estoy embarasada" thinking it means embarassed when really it means pregnant. (Flash to a hypothetical male exchange student saying "I'm pregnant" in front of a class). We had a small, simple quiz, and then got our little Continuemos! books.
Lunch-- What the hell do those chairs think they're doing where a table should be. what the HELL. Once I get onto the window ledge, I'm stuck there all lunch hour, or, excuse me what like 20 minutes now? Our table has been stolen by a small group of freshman with terrible hair. They have no excuse for having terrible hair, they stole our mofoing table.
The conversations were the usual. Cheap sexual inuendo jokes. I told "The Aristocrats" for the first time. I could have gone on forever only it wasn't he appropriate setting. I noticed the things in my lunch: a roll-up sandwich, a pickle, vanilla pudding, beef jerky, crab meat, and vanilla nut bar, and Kate Zach and I couldn't help thinking that there was a theme to it. If you have our sense of humor, there most certainly is, but that's just because we're immature...and proud dammit.
English-- I was so nervous writing my impromptu. Afterward, Jeannie complained to me about how simple hers was, and I replied that it's pretty difficult to go deep into a subject in 35 minutes. Writing like mad and so liable to go off on a tangent. We did questions on Gatsby in groups of 3 or so. My group was generally uninspired and just thought the book was stupid. I wasn't about to agree or disagree. We got some questions done but hardly scratched the surface of any.
After school, I completely beat Donkey Kong Country 3. YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 103%!!!! Now to conquer 2. I did chem homework. I'm so excited for chem.
