I was talking to my friend Sat Kirtan, who was my best friend all through elementary school, and is Sikh and so goes to miri piri academy in India. We got to talking....

Me : are your other teachers very indian?

Her: yes, buit its not only that. theyve been taught by indians and they have taught at indian school so theyre expectations of us are a bit different than what would be expected at an american school. and the language barrier is a bit tough. not to mention that our history teacher wasnt even a history teacher. she was a business teacher they had just stuck there for lack of any where to put her and anyone else to fill the position

Me: I hate history anyway. I really think business would come in more handy, too.

Her: this year it would have. seeing as i learned nothing in that class was given no assigments and still managed to get a d in the last quarter, even though i passed the test. she failed me for the class work i didnt do ( of course she forgot to take into account that she gave no class work to do)

Me : now that's a raw deal.

Her: yeah, she was a nut. tenth grade covinced her that germany was prnounced with the g instead of the j sound. it was awsome

Me : that is so awesome

Her: hehe it was hilarious. of course after that, any word she wasnt positive about she would write on the board and point to it, like names of stuff. she absolutly refused to say sacajawea (not sure thats spelled right) she would just point at the word on the board and said that lady instead

so that was that.

Also, Natalie and I saw an opossum in my yard this evening. It was funny. Yay!
