Thursday Beginining Tango class and practica.
Hello everyone:
A reminder that I will be teaching a beginning Argentine Tango class this Thursday 2/7/07. This is the beginning of a 4 week series. My beginning classes are geared towards one goal, how to have a fun dance in social Argentine Tango. With in this goal I go over the basics of the dance, movement, embrace and personal expression.
Drop ins are welcome.
The class and practica will be taking place at the Dance Fusion studio, 1109 S. Pearl st. From 7:30 - 8:30.
Then having a practica from 8:30 - 9:30 (happily this has been running later).
The cost is 5.00 for the class (the practica is included in the cost). Or 3.00 for the practica alone (a perfect opportunity to practice your dance in getting warmed up for a weekend of tango).
The space has a beautiful oak floor that is just right for dancing tango, high ceilings, and a wall of mirrors. With the other types of dance that take place, the existing energy lends its self to a great experience of tango, that we also add energy to the space with our dance.
The teaching is encouraging, directed, informative and focused towards social Argentine Tango.

About me:
My name is David Hodgson. I have been actively dancing Argentine tango for about 13years along with teaching and performing for many of these years. My teaching is focused in being simple, without being simplistic. I have also performed with the Bailos and 22Tango dance companies, for Tango Colorado and my own projects. Creating traditional and avant-guard performance pieces, that tell stories not just of tangos past, but also our own life tales.
