I was reading a novel about identity theft when I found out my identity got stolen again.

Back up: I was killing time in the Harvard Co-Op reading this book, Await Your Reply by Dan Chaon, which while it is about identity theft, I'd really say it's more about the fluidity of identity, and it's pretty profoundly good; I read two-thirds of it in the bookstore and then bought it even though it's a hardcover. It's one of those books with multiple plotlines where you can kind of figure out too early where they're going to converge, but the writing is beautiful and the characters are the kind that stay with you, their outlines are done in very dark ink. So, recommended, very much!

NOT recommended: having to lock your ATM card down over a holiday weekend because somebody pretending to be you changed your bank address and then got themselves a duplicate card and started using it before the bank in question thought to notify you!

If I could put that and my twenty mosquito bites aside, I had a happy weekend. I'm going to tuck myself into bed and read a book about fluffy kittens. Maybe I will wake up with new pets.
