that's when you're learning the game

You know what's amazing about fandom? No, not the charmingly and increasingly effete academic debates about "responsible writing," although that too--what's amazing is that even when I'm basically AWOL and completely failing to finish anything, I have lovely friends who write things of brilliance for me.

Like sarken ( beautifully final Hawkeye/Margaret).

Like michellek ( funny Jack/Liz that gets at the underlying sadness that creates the funny in the first place).

Like mazily ( brilliantly recognizing that Mick Jagger is all pairings at all times).

SE-riously. Go read those and tell me I'm not the luckiest girl in the world.

Boring part of the entry: I spent the weekend in Connecticut not getting any kind of sleep and doing wedding stuff--the wedding was very sweet, and the people likely to cause embarrassing scenes didn't, and I basically looked hot and only choked up a little at that stupid Keith Urban song they did their first dance to, which I consider a victory. I'm still wiped-out exhausted, though.

Then I came home and stayed up all late with mazily working on choosing and acquiring songs for a playlist of GREAT MYSTERY and SECRECY and NOT AT ALL complete predictability when you look at what we're lacking. We're still a little short, so if you have any of the following tracks easy to hand, please let me know if you can send 'em or up 'em for me, thanks!

- Notorious BIG, "Big Poppa" and "Mo Money, Mo Problems"
- Mystikal, "Danger (Been So Long)"
- Dropkick Murphys, "Tessie"
- Daddy Yankee, "Impacto"
Neil Diamond, "Sweet Caroline" Thanks, circusgirl!

Yeah, this is the way we live now.
