another lazy summer LJ post....
Things that rock in my life right now:
1. I got a raise at the honors program!!! $8/hour baby!
2. Cooking...I like it
3. I cleaned out the laundry room...it was looking a little nasty
4. Ben will be here on THURSDAY!!! YAY!!!
5. My graduation party is Saturday
6. Going to KC Pride with Brett...getting TIPSY on margs at Salty Iguana afterwards
Things that suck in my life right now:
1. Becky was out of town ALL weekend
2. I have been feeling very anti-social/hermit-crabbish lately
3. SO LITTLE MONEY
Eh, not a bad break down all in all...two rockin' things for every one suckin' thing.
I have been trying to keep myself busy and motivated. During summer months, I tend to get stuck in these ruts of complete boredom and non-productivity. I am determined not to do that this summer. My job at the honors program should help. I will be helping with orientation for incoming honors students...WOOHOO!!! But it will be quite a task. And Travis has been finding odd jobs around the building for me, so I can get out the house, make money and see him! So I have been doing a lot of reorganizing and moving...cabinets, closets, you name, I've had my hand in it!
I need ideas for cheap/fun/romantic things to do in Lawrence or KC while Ben is here...we are both low on the cast flow at the moment, but I don't just want to sit around watching movies for 5 days...so anything you can think of or have done yourself is much appreciated!
