Thinking of fun times..
Today for some reason I have been just remembering childhood good times - don't know why.. no laughing allowed.. so 5 of my most favorite music artists from a long time ago okay, not too long ago.might be - The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, and Cyndi Lauper ... - still like 'em - so don't laugh! I remember the clubhouse that my dad built on a whim - well he did it with planning and did a marvelous job at that!.. I wish I still had it.. I remember my parents grilling andouille sausage on a Sunday afternoon to eat on french bread.. I remember reading until 2am in the morning with my grandmother in Lafayette, La. - I remember blowing powdered sugar all over my cousin Brent (who was wearing all black at the time) at Cafe DuMonde in French Quarter.. I remember liking to hunt for tadpoles in a ditch until I was told there were SNAKES!! Yikes!.. Those days seemed like really good days - no worries, no cares... just to be.. - Of course the times have just changed a little and life is good - it is still fun to go back to those times - it makes me feel GREAT!! So hopefully I am not the only one in this world who has these funky moments.. I can't believe my wee ones are growing soooo fast - it is just amazing.. wowsers.. Still knitting into the future.. working on a navy shrug - well it was going to be all navy but this may end up being the one with the green trim - I have run out of my navy yarn.. which, one would think - just get some more - but it was in an old stash and navy can be hard to match and it was already broken out of the label - so I don't even know what brand it is!! Fun - fun.. experimentation is always fun.. So a question - does anyone know how to find out about fiber art shows in Texas??? Or Fiber festivals in Texas.. if so, send me some info!!
