I stopped watching, thankfully, because I discovered MISFITS and anything that helped me stop watching SUPERNATURAL was welcome (although the show itself being awesome was a massive bonus) so I took it and bolted.
I think Sera being show runner has been bad for the show - it's become incredibly self-indulgent and I keep suspecting that Kripke unofficially handed a lot of the reins to Gamble after ep 12 last season.
Every time I hear about it in other places it's never positive and so I'm glad I managed to scrape out of not watching when I did. (Whenever I weaken I just remind myself how much I loathe the Dean/Lisa relationship, and that does the trick.)
Heh, I always make these impulsive, ragequit kind of statements and then never followup on them. lol I've been halfheartedly paying attention this season and thought I'd catch an episode to see if it had gotten any better. And it hasn't. There has been almost zero plot development. I think you're right about Sera, she's no good for the show at all.
I'll have to check out Misfits. We get Being Human over here but I haven't gotten the chance to watch it. I've heard good things about it but haven't actually spoken with someone who has actually seen it. Have you?
I think I glanced at BEING HUMAN at my mother's behest (she liked it but didn't keep up watching it), and it just didn't grab me particularly - so I stopped there rather than get involved with something I wasn't crazy about (because that's what happened with SUPERNATURAL).
I know there's a US remake of BEING HUMAN, is it the UK one or the US one you get?
Also, try at least episode one of MISFITS - it's a lot of fun. It's the first show in a long while that I became really compulsive about pretty much immediately. I think everyone should at least give an episode a try.
They show the original version of Being Human on BBC America so I always see commercials when I'm watching Doctor Who. They show the remake on the SyFy channel but I've heard it's total shit.
Totally just jumping in here, but I wasn't keen on Being Human until like, episode 3... and then I was totally hooked. So if you only saw the first ep or so, I'd say if you feel like it, try the entire first season (super-short, it's only 6 or 7 episodes) and make your decision then. Season 2's got its ups and downs but is quite enjoyable too, and season 3 is... pretty much the same. I'm hearing terrible things about season 4 from friends in England though.

I know! Makes SUPERNATURAL look like the positive dirge it is.

We shall not speak of the shitty US remake. -_-
