You were not the only one to notice, believe me. I couldn't believe it. If they'd wanted to pass off a post-mortem picture as a Holmes victim, couldn't they have picked an anonymous one? That pic of Elizabeth Stride is practically iconic. Unless they did it on purpose, for reasons unknown.
Okay, this is going to sound weird, but - I am a massive H.H. Holmes, um, not fan, BUT. He is an object of intense interest for me, ever since reading Depraved. I couldn't believe it when I saw his name on Sam's screen. At first I thought, oh! Sly hidden reference OMG, but WOW. Yeah. I was incredibly disappointed that they butchered his backstory so much. They made him sound so...typical. Killing pretty girls? Whatevah. It's like they neutered him or something. Meh.
I love Jo, but after last night's ep - not sure if I like the idea of her and Dean together. I think the brother/sister relationship between them would be far, far more interesting at this point. Dean close to a girl he's not screwing? Perish the thought! But I think it'd be good for his overall outlook.
I must admit - I was missing the Sam, too. Maybe the apartment had porn..?

I have an unnatural obsession with Jack the Ripper, so I don't think it's weird. Unless you think my Jack the Ripper obsession is weird? 'Cause then . . . :D
I read about Holmes in Devil in the White City, and I loved that book. Have you read it? It was a bestseller and I wouldn't normally have read it, but working at a bookstore in the Chicago area, everyone asks you your opinion on such 'local' books. I remember being creeped out by that whole 'castle' that he had built with the trapdoors and the deadends (at least they got that part right in the ep).
I couldn't believe it when I saw his name on Sam's screen.
I actually said, 'Hey!' and pointed. Because it's like my job and my job alone at work to remember where we shelve that book.
I don't know, seeing that picture and knowing it wasn't what they were wanted it to be really threw me out of the ep.
And I really liked Jo before this ep, but I don't like the idea of her and Dean together. Maybe it'll grow on me, but I liked the idea of her as this independent ass-kicker better.
