(no subject)
Tomorrow is my last day of living in Halifax as an undergraduate student. I've been mentally ready for this for a really long time, but now that I'm leaving, it's a little unreal. Holly organized a surprise lil' gathering tonight of the few friends that haven't left town yet which was really lovely. Brendan got me this wonderful Birds of Costa Rica book that will no doubt get lots of use in the next few months. I'm really looking forward to the ornithological opportunities of the next little while, not to mention the wonderful sun/history/language/culture parts. Mmmm, delicious. I'm going to miss Brendan in a big way, although perhaps this time abroad will allow me more perspective for planning our new political party.
I'm sad about leaving the amazing people that I've been fortunate enough to have in my life here.
Sidenote - I'm not sure how I feel about being wooed this close to when I'm leaving the city... All for nought, etc etc. And besides, I'm a dinosaur.
Have I mentioned how excited I am about seeing Laura, not to mention my parents and fam? Man, I haven't been to Timmins in a year. Plus, I'll be working at the hardware store (eeeek) so it'll definitely be like old times. This whole "being in the real world" thing is great so far!
