So today was Lisa's first day of school. I have 20 minutes until I have to pick her up. She goes 4 full days (8:30-3:30)
Wow, i am nervous. When I dropped her off I expected the moment depicted on tv so often with the heart wrenching goodbye and the uncontrollably weeping child. I brought Lisa in and like the social butterfly she is she incorporated herself within the other children instantly. Meanwhile I stood there awkwardly until she yelled from across the thronglet "Mommy, you can go now"
I will not cry in front of 15 four year olds! I refuse! I am stronger than they are. I will turn around slowly and walk out the door.
...maybe i'll just get a hug...
NO! It is a sign of weakness! The children will eat me alive! Go while you still have the ability to think, damnit! Oh shit, i gonna cry.
RUN! FASTER! GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
ok. 13 minutes to go. damn that was the longest 7 minutes of my life.
Maybe I'll go early and hide in the bushes.
