Me vs. a hunk of metal
Recently Janine, the housekeeper for Parsons, has been taping up pages from the comics sections of newspapers to the sides of bathroom stalls, and I have been finding myself needing to use the bathroom more and more often lately and going into different stalls each time. Just a few minutes ago, I ran up a flight of stairs to use the bathroom on the third floor because I hadn't read the comics in there yet. Sigh.
My latest project is this window screen attached to the window right next to my desk. There is a beautiful balcony outside, great view, sunlight in the morning -- and more importantly, there is absolutely no door to it. The only way out to it is through my window. (Well, Camille and Lillian also have a window that leads out to it, and I've seen Camille out on this balcony, but that's okay. I'm willing to share.) Camille simply smashed the screen outwards, but I'm not as brave, so earlier today I slid out through Camille's window and onto the balcony. The screws for the screen are located on the outside, and I viciously attacked them with the hot pink screwdrivers Shannon lent me. I was only able to get one of them out though, the other one will turn a little bit each way but is otherwise stuck, which frustrates me to no end. I just googled ways to get out a screw in the most painful (to a screw) ways possible. No matter what, I will be able to get out onto this balcony.
