A guy in my brother's unit was killed by a sniper this week. The family readiness unit or whatever from his unit was calling people's family and saying "someone has been killed but we don't THINK its your son/daughter" My brother hurried up and called my mom to beat them to it, and boy was he pissed. Could you imagine getting a call saying well someone died, but we don't think it was your son. How increadably insensitive is that????? I know they don't want the family to hear it from the news, but can't the media hold off until the family is notified. Lord, that just sickens me. And what about the family that gets the calls saying we don't think it was your son, and then has to get a second call saying well we were wrong, it was your son. Come on, have a little compasion. I know I wouldn't want to be in that position.
