I may have been premature in announcing the death of The Sovereign.
Turns out that it was really just the power supply, IDE cable, keyboard, and some hard drive corruption. The system is in stable condition and resting comfortably with temporary replacements for the damaged parts while I RMA the originals.
Apparently whatever act of electrical mayhem took down The Sovereign also ripped up Bozeman and Grissom pretty badly, but they're older boxes and I kinda don't care what happens to them.
Moral of the story: Make sure that any power strips you are given by your dad don't already have their surge protection blown out.
