Anyone know if they patched Egbert's pathing heuristic?
OK, for those who are at least mildly confused by the question, "Egbert" is a non-combat pet that you can get for completing a series of holiday quests that run for a week or so each year. Many WOW pets wander around, while hanging around pretty close to you (as opposed to just sort of heeling right next to you). Egbert was distinguished by being a bit over-caffeinated - he might run wildly, all over the place, over a fairly large area.
So, I brought him up this evening, and he was just standing there, staring up at me, for a minute or so. Then he did abruptly run a good distance away - but then turned 180 and came straight back. Then heeling a bit, then tearing off on another beeline out and back. I can see the devs deciding that they had to make his behavior a bit more constrained, because of some problem with the whole random flailing about, but I never heard what the problem was and I don't remember seeing it in patch notes.
