Thirteen bits of good fortune in my life this Friday the 13th:
- Making the midnight opening of Watchmen at the Cinerama last Thursday night
- Seeing the original cast of MST3K doing, well, MST3K but without the parts they don't own the trademarks for at the King Cat this upcoming evening
- Donations are starting to come in sponsoring me in the upcoming SIFF Movie Marathon, and the rest of the team I'm captaining is doing even better. (Mind you, that's one teammate at the time of this writing, but still...)
- The Tallis Scholars are playing Seattle later this month.
- Saturday is my "Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything" birthday. I'm eagerly anticipating the enlightenment.
- Seattle's getting a Hard Rock Cafe! OK, kidding: it's March, and once again Seattle home-grown restaurants are showing off in Dine Around Seattle's annual "30 for $30" promotion. (We really are getting a Hard Rock, though)
- March also means the Moisture Festival, with three weeks of comedy/varietè and burlesque all over town to welcome Spring to Seattle.
- Getting into a sneak peak of Alien Trespass Monday night
- Pagliacci, my usual go-to delivery pizza, is running a 30-day 30% discount promo to celebrate their 30th anniversary
- I finally upgraded the boots that Gelato the Mage had been wearing since Burning Crusade in WOW. What's so hard about making a wider variety of +spow boots available in cloth?
- It appears the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is holding a credit balance from one of my former utilities (former in the "coming up on 20 years" sense) which means I may finally get it soon.
- I'm about a month away from having my car paid off (almost made a payoff payment work in time for this Friday the 13th, but not quite)
- Brand-new drivers license, complete with (slightly) less axe-murderer-like photo and Big Brothery Goodness [pdf] for easy daytripping our neighbors to the north.
What are thirteen things going well for you today?
