PLEASE READ:
Yesterday at church, I read a ‘speech’ that I had prepared. I asked the congregation if they would like to participate in a love offering for Teenie. At the end of the service as everyone was leaving, our ushers were standing in the back with the offering plates. After everyone left, one of the ushers came up to me and told me that we had received $653 for Christine and her family. I am so thankful that my church came through and was able to leave that much for Teenie. My dad also had more people come up to him asking if they could give us more money next Sunday and so on for Teenie and her family. We told them that it would be perfectly fine. I am planning on going up to visit Teenie in about 2 weeks and take them the money that I have received. If anyone would like to give any money for Teenie and her family, please feel free to contact me. I am sure that the Watson’s will really appreciate it!
Also, yesterday after the service, a lady came up to me; her name is Amy and she works with the newspaper. She is the one who wrote the really big article on Christine. She asked to interview me today so that she could write an article about it in the paper. I didn’t really want it to go all out in the open, it was just something that I wanted to do for the Watson’s because I know that they will need as much money as they can get because of all the bills and stuff, and I just wanted to help. I had no idea that there was a reporter there. But, she called today, and we had the interview over the phone. She is writing about how I got up in front of the church and asked for people to please give money for Christine and her family and how if any one else would like to offer money to Teenie and her family, to feel free to contact me. Also, there should be more information on Teenie and everything in the article as well.
