I hate my boyfriends mother. We happen to be living with his parents right now because of his job and not knowing how long he will be at the store he is at right now because he's always being transferred and this last time it was from Bellingham to Snohomish(ugh ( Read more... )

I hope you guys are able to get your own place soon! Living with someone who you don't want to be living with is never easy, I couldn't imagine doing it while pregnant! One thing that I learned to do while I was pregnant, I don't know if it would work on your BF's mom, but when anyone tried giving me advice on what I should do, eat, anything like that, while pregnant, I just told them "thank you for the suggestion," and either walked away or changed the subject. I hope it gets better for you!!! And congratulations on your pregnancy!

It's not even that she's really trying to give actual advice. If she was I might think about listening(haha) but it's more like she HAS to be right and she's just a very abrasive person who doesn't care about anyone else and believes that no one else knows what they're talking about. So usually whenever she says something I just pretend I didn't hear it and go back downstairs or leave.

Thanks!!! I'll have to keep that in mind for when I start showing and everyone else feels the need give me their opinion.

I'm really not looking forward to the strangers trying to touch my stomach though... Did that happen to you???

I know how that is. My mom is the same way, but luckily for me, she lives in Vegas. I feel your pain. When my mom was up here while I was pregnant, I made a point of not being around her too much.

Not too many people tried to touch my stomach.. I guess I just have a face that says "touch me and I'll kill you" or something.. The only person that ever tried it was a friend of my little brother's outside the 'Shoe. I was not impressed. Very nasty glares followed her until I left.

I think it also helped that until I was 6 or 7 months along, people could barely tell I was pregnant. That was nice and irritating at the same time...

Oh, and just one small thing: a wedge pillow for your stomach when you get bigger helps the whole sleeping thing IMMENSELY. So does the pillow between your legs thing... It helped me!! And I hope you're not having too much morning sickness. That was THE WORST for me. Had it until I was 6 months along...

I have a feeling that if people start touching my stomach I'm just going to rub theirs back, or look at them like "uh, that's really not ok..."

I'm 14 weeks and seems like everyone else that's this far is already showing! It's crazy! I'm not showing at all, just got a little tubbier lol.

I'm already sleeping with a pillow next to me, I pretty much curl up with it at night, makes sleeping SO much easier already! I haven't had much morning sickness, well, haven't actually thrown up, just nausea... Lots of nausea.. When I don't eat soon after I wake up or even sometimes from eating. The cravings are ridiculous though although it's mainly been aversions.

That SUCKS you had morning sickness until 6 months! Mine is already starting to slow down for the most part, but with my luck it won't be gone for long :(

How's life as a mom going??

Life as a mom is amazing. Really, it is so much different when its your own kid. It really really is. It's exhausting, but it is completely worth it. :)

And crackers beside your bed is a really good way to help with the morning sickness. Eat them before you even life your head off your pillow. It did help me a bit.

Mine was aversions too!! I almost became a vegetarian for a big chunk of my pregnancy. My biggest "make me sick" food was chunks of pork... Maybe the Muslims and the Jews have it right about pork... Stuff made me PUKE.

Im finally starting to feel pregnant and have a little more energy! Im excited about that :)

I just can't wait to find out what we're having!! Sooo impatient! But I will know the latest July 2nd I think.. How far along were you when you found out? My doc said they'll do the ultrasound between 18-21 weeks. Really hope it's soon!

I can't really eat meat either!! It's so crazy! But mine is mainly chicken, can't stand the stuff.
Pregnancy is crazy, Im just getting to where Im almost constantly hungry. I don't want to over eat, but it seems like once I finish eating something, another thing sounds amazing and Im hungry again. Oh well, I guess I'll stick to healthier type food and my ton of water..
