So this weekend my parents went out of town for their anniversary 26 years! Way to go mom and dad!!!
That aside, that meant I had the boys to kind of.... watch? Dan's 18 so not a whole lot of watching there, but Jack's 9, and though I trust him not to set the house on fire, I can't trust him to not do other stupid things like eat 15 sticks of gum in about 24 hours.... which he did.
So I've gotten in the habit of doing big house projects whenever someone leaves the house; Erin's room when she was in Canada, Jack's room while dad was in Niles, Danny's room while he was at band camp, and last year a monumental redesign in my parents bedroom for their 25th. This year though I kept it on the DL.....ish. I figured on maybe doing a lot of little things instead of stressing over the huge project I'd have to finish WHILE working AND feeding etc the boys :D
This year:
Fri: got up early and cleaned the house with Dan. Mostly the kitchen and dinning room/living room. Bought 4 shelving systems on-line and picked them up in the store, put them together in now cleaned out office in the basement (that my father did 2 weeks ago and then left in all over MY area of the basement) organized crap and put on shelves. Went to work. Boys went out to dinner. I came home, ran an errand, rapped Liz's B-Day gift, met everyone here and headed to Applebee’s, yum. Came back here, drank, did presents, YAY! (I think I did pretty spiffy) lolololol funny night.
Sat: Got up and made pancakes with Danny (we were a little rusty :P ) cleaned the house more, mostly in family room, and Jacks room. Took shower, went to work, came home, made lasagna for dinner. 3 loads of laundry. Rented a movie with the boys, Jack passed out.
Sun: Got up, made WONDERFUL breakfast of peach pancakes (practice makes perfect, they ROCKED) with peach syrup, bacon, milk, yummy! Went to work, came home from work, took boys to the carnival, funness = Jack road some rides, went in the fun house, won a game, got a prize, I dropped a tatter tot down the inside of my shirt, good times…… gooooooood times…, came home. I made dinner of Cordon bleu, angle hair pasta, & broccoli. Truly delicious, watched Extreme home makeover with the boys, gave Jack a bath, made mom and dad's bed. Collapsed as my parents hit home.
*sigh* ;P
Anywho. I'm dead, especially after watching both the jaw dropping finale of housewives, and the tense episode of Lost. dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnn. I'm off to bed. Sweet dreams (I've been having some pretty good ones lately ;D
ALL my Love
